I would think things never end exactly how they began.
Scientifically, if you submit an action upon an object, that object is affected by movement, temp change, etc. It may appear the same afterwards but there is a variation even if it is unmeasurable.
Emotionally, if things start off happy and the normal course of a relationship happens, there are ups and downs. Even if you end up happy at the end, you now have memories. You didn't when you started.
Financially, if you have $100 and you loan it to a buddy and take it out of your savings account. Your buddy gives you the money back after a month (good friend) and you put it back in your account. You've missed gaining interest on that $100 while it wasn't in your account.
That's just my take on it. LOL

there are recommendations - you may have one element ending and many different issues beginning all on a similar time. you may have an entire host of issues ending and easily no longer something beginning in any respect - see the Buddhist theory of "The Bardot" (no longer the in call for French actress in this context) then lower back which you may have a good number of issues ending and many different issues beginning - existence is extremely innovative! As for yearning ending - it must be nihilistic yet provided which you think of all exhilaration comes from yearning. Its ultimate to make certain what healthful possibilities there are to yearning before removing it.

Things seldom end the way they began unless they never began to begin with, never truly ended, or are timeless in their essence.

I don't think so, we either make them better or worse with out reactions, but things change, it is just the nature of here.

Not always.
They sometimes begin with hope and promise......and end with bitterness and sadness.
