The only main pro I can think of for animal testing would be that you can test medicines on animals for cures to serious human diseases. Treatments for everything from diabetes and cancer to high blood pressure have been developed through animal testing. Without animal testing in these areas we wouldn't have the cures and thousands of people would have either died or suffered from chronic serious illnesses. Many of these things can't be tested accurately just using computers and are too dangerous to test on humans at least early on. There is bound to be more information elsewhere, just try googling the pros of animal TESTING instead of pros of animal abuse and you are bound to find stuff. Good luck

I must add something here. While I fight against both and I am a hard core animal lover, let's be real here. If I see someone abusing a dog and at the exact same time someone harming a child, I will react to both, but I am going to get that child out of there first. Emilie, I am also surprised that some people do not value human life more than this. As I said, they equally appall me and one cannot really be separated from the other, right along with elder abuse. All need to be stopped. At the same time, we have to have some reason and logic when it comes to this. I would hate to be put in that situation and I would hope if I was confronted with this, there would be enough people around so we could stop both

Well there are no pro's for animal abuse as a moral issue.. The only pro's would be for the corporate bottom line, that costs them money not to abuse them...Example cutting off the beaks of chickens, growing them in cages and never seeing the light of day.. The pros is all about money...

Animal testing has been eliminated by most researchers because the animal models don't fall too true to human results with the same medicines. They're being phased out, so I guess that's one for the 'con' side.

animal testing is animal abuse and there is no pros to it no matter what way you look at it. People will say that animals dont have feeling but they do.

You can't find one because there are no pros to animal abuse. Innocent animals are abused because the owner is either just plain mean or impatient.
