I am an american, fed up with the "american ways".
I am wondering if people from other countries could tell me why YOU live in that country?

To tell you a little about the US.. if you can belive this we make people leave hospitals...if they can't pay or have no insurance. We have tp pay for medications. My husband has asthma and has to take Albutrol it costs $125.00. (it is 5 cents in cuba) We pay about $250.00 a week per child for daycare (thats **** anyway) Public schools are around the cheap end $500.00 per semeter.College 2 year degree $17,000. This is not including extra activities like baseball, basketball....thats extra. And nothing pisses me off more than people that refuse to speak, learn, or even try speaking english. ( I hate to do it but, it is mosty spainsh speaking people.) Let me ask you...if I came to you counrty to LIVE, WORK, and raise a family...would you want me to speak your langwage, and learn to read it? ( if your in a non-english speaking country)

i don't know were u get your info but we don't make people leave hospitals if they cant pay or don't have insurance.maybe u all make 2 much money so u have 2 pay big prices.i have asthma and don't make much money so i go 2 a free clinic were they help me with the cost.u should be proud 2 be an American. in other county's they don't have the freedom we do. why do u think our troops r fighting 4.yes i do think that they should try 2 speak English if there going 2 live here. they want freedom just as u and i want.there just trying 2 better there lives.there's nothing wrong with that.

Your talking money issues. What's that got to do with being a free American. You are free to economize, get a job, of live somewhere else. Every state has medical for the poor. There are county hospitals where no one is turned away. Public schools are free. If the extra curricular activities are to expensive, drop them. If you want socialized medicine then work for a political candidate whose agenda you agree with. As for the language problem. I am in full agreement. If I went to live in another country I would learn the lanuage, culture, and the laws.

I live in my country (Philippines) because I was born here... haha!

But seriously, I live here because I feel comfortable in my environment. I'm still in college with a part-time job and, technically, my own house. I pay my own bills, do my own laundry... I live by myself. Money isn't easy to come by here, but I make ends meet. All the basic necessities are a bit expensive here as well, but it's bearable. Even if the government isn't exactly helping out the Filipino people, there are little things in this country that make it fun to live in.

To answer your other question, I do want you to learn how to speak and read our language. Just so when someone curses you, you'd understand them :D But seriously, you cannot force someone to learn if they don't want to in the first place. You just have to be a little patient with them :)

America does have some serious issues that need to be addressed if we want to advance as a country/society in the world. I don't agree with your take on language requirements, but you have a valid point everywhere else. cool question.

I agree. If you wanna live the american dream then speak the american language and don't get all pissy when we don't understand you.

Some people would die to have your "problems".
You're just a sniveller.
