Check these out:
1.Misheard the assignment.
2.A student you never knew existed in the school system came and ripped your work from you just to jot down a girl's phone number.
3.Forgot to write it down in your agenda.
4. Computer jammed as soon as you were on the last paragraph and ended up needing to write it all over the next day the assignment was due.
5. Straining of the eyes got worst each time you forced yourself to go on (If you wear glasses to read and see).

Sincerely tell the truth and ask for help/an extension. If you really could not do your homework, the teacher will most likely be sympathetic. Cooperate with them and be earnest.
Do not come up with an excuse. Teachers always hate it. And try to talk to the teacher before or after the class. Don't bring it up yourself during the class. They usually dislike such disruptions.
If you really had problems, tell the truth! Teachers are not trying to find things for which to penalize you. They are there to help.

perhaps you could do your homework...and if that doesn't work then say that a you washed your hands with drano and this produced an allergic reaction so u weren't able to finish your homework b/c the disease would tag to the ppr. Thus making your teacher thouroughly confused.

my (obscure relative) was in the hospital yesterday night. She had a heart attack and respiratory failure. (sounds impressive, eh?) or use the excuse of your cousin was in a car crash and is now in critical condition. Tell your teacher homeowrk is against your religion. To make any excuse convincing, have your friend who has good penmanship write you a fake mommy letter. Give it to the teacher and check out the look on their face!

Mrs/Ms/Mr _____, last night my grandmother/grandfather needed help cleaning their attic out. I went over there and did my homework, then cleaned. But I happened to forget my homework on their kitchen table. Is it in anyway possible that I could bring it in tomorrow or whenever I get a chance to drive up there?

If your assignment is little, just tell them you have a note from your parents and just forge it. If it's a big assignment, fake sick a couple of days and do the assignment when you are supposed to be sick in bed. Don't use these too often though, or you could get caught.

If you miss an assignment, be honest, explain the reason, and ask if you can make the assignment up, offering to do a little extra to earn the full credit. We teachers appreciate honesty and taking responsibility. :)

Do your homework. If you don't get it done, tell the truth. Teachers know when you make that up anyway. It is a waste to lie about it.
