I had to give Abigail a plus because I think the funniest movie ever made was Blazing Saddles.

Wally! First the Rose Parade thing and now "Up in Smoke"... tish tish. I was going to say "Blazing Saddles" but I didn't want to copy anyone. I can't remember which years I watched the Cheech and Chong thing, or Blazing Saddles. I'm sure it must have been when it they first came out. I have it on VHS, too. Actually, I have both on VHS.

Nah, didn't watch that one but I did laugh a lot at "Blazing Saddles" I can't remember when I saw it.. Maybe in the 80's.
When anyone says FUNNY, that's the first movie that comes to mind... Also, I thought Steve Martin (the jerk) gave me a few chuckles when he got out of the bathtub and covered himself with the dog and ran outside looking for the girl. When he read that letter after the dog slobbered on it, that was soooooo funny.

ONE of the funniest movies (hard to be THE funniest) was "UHF" with Weird Al Yankovich. Actually, I had to watch it about 4 times to get all the nuances and get passed the terribly politically INCORRECT humor in it, to find just how funny it actually is!
It came out in 1989, but I watched it years later, cannot remember exactly when. It has the "distinction" of being the first movie of the careers of:
Michael Richards
Fran Drescher
It remains as politically incorrect today as then, AND as funny!

"My Cousin Vinnie" I saw it at a movie theatre. It probably came out in 1994? I'm not sure. The funny parts have to so with New Yorkers having culture shock in the South. A judge asks Joe Pecsi (Vinnie) about 2 youths, and the way Joe Pesci says it it sounds like 2 Utes (Utes are a native american tribe) and the judge keeps repeating "2 Utes ?" and Vinnie say yeah "2 Utes meaning 2 Youths. Also when Vinnie hears a screech owl and goes to the door of the cabin and shoots his handgun

There were many over the years from when I was little watching Abbott and Costello in their movies. To the antics
of Robin Williams and Cheech and Chong. But I think my
favorite is the movie with Martin Lawrence, in Big Mama's
House. I remember laughing alot during it, and movies today
just hardly make me laugh. But when he was in costume as
Big Mama and acting like a woman, he was really funny.

I'll go with Airplane and Blazing Saddles. I must have watched Airplane five times, and still saw funny things happening in the background that I had missed previously.

Young Frankstein was very funny to me.
Also, the Pink Panther movies made me laugh out loud. One weekend I rented all of them and had a great time with my friends watching with me. "Does your dog bite?" Response: "No." Clouseau pets him and gets bitten and says, "I thought you said your dog doesn't bite." Response; "That is not my dog."
I would have to add "The Gods must be Crazy" about the aborigines man walking to the edge of the "world" to throw the coke bottle away.
When I was a little girl, I loved Abbott and Costello. "Airplane" was also a funny movie.
When you laugh so hard, your stomach knots up, it is a funny movie.
