shudder, silence or small talk. i generally bring a decent book and do the old eye/glass/gesture/smile thing. per exampla, one nod, a smile, eye on book, take swipe of orange juice, look at hair in glass and back to book again. successful for at least 20 minutes.

We ususally talk about how I just drove 8 hrs to get my hair cut by him.. or my sister - or her kids.

Answer them when they talk to you, and when they compliment your hair just say "no your hair is prettier than mine so I am not gonna pay you."
