Only one thing wrong with that getup: In the fifties, we didn't wear headbands or polo shirts. We did wear cuffed up blue jeans, mens white shirts tied at the waist, and scarves rolled up like a hair ribbon and tied behind and below one ear. The shoes are right....they are called Oxfords.

Cuffed jeans and your dad's shirt, bobby socks and saddle back shoes (white with black or brown saddle trim).
Loafers or white canvas shoes will also do.
If you go with the loafers, use the kind that has a strap across the top with a split opening and insert a penny into the opening of each shoe ( you'll have penny loafers ).
Check out the first "Back to the Future" movie or find some 50's era movies to see how they dressed.

the capris are perfect, but for the shirt,(the polo is going more towards the seventies) borrow a white button-down man's shirt (or just a big one) and roll up the sleeves to your elbows, for your hair, the bandana is good, but maybe after you curl it, put it in a really high pony-tail. idk how that will look, but try it out first. and those shoes are called saddle shoes.idk about the hoops either. try 'em out and see how they look. also for makeup, wear like really pink lipstick. have fun!

Hi Miss, everything sounds good except they didn't wear big hoop earrings back then and the shoes are called "saddle" shoes and they were black and white. Instead of a polo shirt, wear a crisp white button up white with a popped up collar.
That will be perfect! :D

I think it sounds fine, and no they didn't wear polos back then but I think it is a good way to bring your own style into the outfit. Also if you have any pearls, that would be better than hoops.

I don't think they had polo shirts back in the fifties, and if you wear one with the collars up you'd just look like a trendy chinese person.
