inguinal hernia repair op. 2.5 hours NPO last dose of propranolol last ngt. BP 126/80 sched dose due now help?

having an inguinal hernia op repair. OR and RR expected time 2.5 hours. NPO, taking propranolol for HTN. BP currently 126/80. Scheduled dose is now - can't take as NPO. Lasr dose last night.

Doctors will not want you to miss your sceduled dose. The nurse should have your med on her list - s/he should give you the meds with just enuf water to swallow. Or maybe they can give it to you IV?

you can safely take your medication with a small sip of water, no big deal, just don't go gulping a whole glass full.
