It's not a proper noun! And, it's not likely to ever be one. Only time you'd want to capitalize it, is if you were to begin a sentence with it. As an adjective it would only begin in a capital letter if it were in the title of a book, song, or play. :0)

Not unless it is a proper noun. If there was a singer or group called ****, like Sting or the Doors, then it would be capitalized.

Yes, as a noun because it usually comes at the beginning of your sentence: Darn! I lost my keys!
No to the adjective: *@@#! I lost my darn keys!

Seeing as how you have to shift to capitals in order to type an asterisk (that's the little star over the 8...*), there is no way to type **** without it being capitalized, no matter how it is used.
