why do I love my mom? this is easy!
1) because she's taken the time to listen and to care
2) because she completes me, the pain she feels I feel, the tears she cries I cry, so when she's down I cheer her up and when I'm lost she finds me. She's my rock and I'm her soft place to land.
3)because we've been through soooo much together ( 10 years of hell, since I was 8... but we made it through)
4) because she is one of the coolest, funniest people I know, and I love just hanging out with her.
5) because noone knows me like she does, and nothing makes me feel better like a hug from my mommy.
6) MY MOTHER IS AWESOME!

Right now, in my middle years, I can't think of one reason why I would or could love my mom. Don't misunderstand. She's not a drunkard or slob or physically abusive, and I've always had plenty of good food to eat, but the latter was provided by my dad, not her. I read all the answers above, a lot being very typical and romantic, etc., but now, as I look back at all my mom "did for me", I wonder, did she do it for me, or for her. I heard one say, "Isn't it funny, all the things we do 'in the name of our children'." I don't dislike the very fine material life I was raised in, but that didn't come from her. And the parenting was done most effectively by my dad, even though she was "always around" in the good ol' June Cleaver of Vanderbilt quality style. But, before she dies of old age, and she's of that age now, I would like, LOVE, to come out of where I am with her, and go see her again and some how "make amends", but, then again, I want her to know I know who she is. Like the song "In the Air Tonight", "You don't even know who I am". Maybe with more serious prayer, or maybe following what God may be saying to me in my praying times, I'll get my act straight. Somehow though, I feel that now, after all those years of loving mom because she's my mom, I do have my act straight. It is from things she has said about me, to my face, and how she has manipulated things in the family, being very underhanded and self-centered, that make me dislike her so. And I've seen a history of that for decades. That bothers me. Pray for my mom and me. God Bless you.

My Mother is the anchor that still ties me to this earth... She is the reason I know there's a God up high... She is the synonymous of endless love... She is my best friend... She is the greatest blessing I could ever have... Thanks to Her I am a good person... I saw Her take her food from Her plate to feed me... She knows me very well... I love Her with all my heart without a reason and best of all... She loves me back and is for free.
