I had the same problem. I was really frustrated. Called a professional window washer and she told me the best paper towel to use is the cheap brand - they're just paper and have no extra "crap" in them! Try it - I did - it worked! Also----only use the old fashion windex , not the streak free, if you're going to use windex at all. And make sure there's NO sun hitting the windows! Good luck!

I first use a hose to rinse off most of the dirt and dust. Then use the back side of the squeegee with the foam cleaner edge, then use the squeegee and keep a clean towel to wipe off the excess. Works great for me. Just like when I was my car, I turn on the windshield wipers before wiping them down. Helps alot. Another thing I do...I use the hose, then a brush, and then get out the leaf blower. Thats how I dry my car off when I wash it. Blows air just like at the car wash.

Try using micro fiber cloths. Use just water to wet the cloth. Wash the window and then dry with an additional micro fiber cloth. Works awesome!!! No Streaks!!

I found using a small steam cleaner, there are several brands, and cheap paper towels, works best. You also dont have to use any chemicals with a steam cleaner, the steam sanitizes, and you can use it in your microwave, stove top etc. one of the best puchases I have made!

I use a cheap window cleaner and a small sponge and squeeqe. Just do it like you would your car windshield...I did this last time I washed my windows and it worked perfect. You don't have to mix anything or buy special paper towels:)

ammonia 1/4 to 3/4 Th's of water should fix your window streaks, but the news paper is your best choice in wipes to dry them with, but they do tend to leave the print on your hands, so wash your hands after wards or you are sure to leave finger prints everywhere! :)

My mother used to swear by vinegar and newspapers, too. What if you skip the dash of Dawn and just try the vinegar?
