i have a coin that is the gold dollar washington and it does not have in god we trust on the side will it be worth anything?

The last time I checked the error dollar coin is being sold for at least $150 each in nice mint state. If you have such a coin, you need to get it authenticated or appraised before you can convince potential buyers.

If you have a Washington Dollar that has no edge lettering for that is where the In God We Trust is, on the edge, then it is selling for over $100. The coins have no legends, date or mint marks on the obverse or reverse of the coins, they are all on the edge. Hope this helps.

According to the mint website, the "In God We Trust" inscription is around the edge of the coin.

Also, it doesn't matter what direction the edge printing faces.
