I look under this rock by a tree near my house for a piece of paper with the winning lottery numbers on it. If time travel is possible during my lifetime, I am going to come back and place that paper under that rock. It must not be possible in my lifetime, cause I haven't found the paper yet, and I'll probably live another 10-20 years.

We don't know the reality of time travel, since its not possible.
But if you did travel back in time, it would likely take some amount of personal (subjective) time to do so. So it might take an hour of personal time to travel back 1000 years - you would age one hour.

Time is a relative thing. If you were to leave Earth at nearly the speed of light and return, the amount of time (as you see it) it took you to return would be greatly different than the amount of time for people here on Earth. So in effect it does take time, but the amount of time is relative.

As we know time, if you moved back through time and space you would be in the same area and relative time but off by only a few nanoseconds. Ask any Cosmologist.

yes it takes time but in reverse.so you gain time. and when you land on the other end time starts forward again.

its only different if the other end isn't familiar to you, like setting the dial for dinosaurs, well yea that's different , we have land dragons {cars} now
