I know it should be obvious but... I want to try and keep these clothes pretty good. I'm going to wash them delicate cycle with cold/warm water and hang to dry... anyways...

Colors of shirts: black, brown, grey, beige, olive green, light blue with light brown stripes, white.

What's the best way to group these? I realize white should probably be by itself but can I group black/brown/grey? Should beige/olive/light blue go together? See what I mean? It may not matter that much but I just want to try.

Thanks for your help!

black brown gray in one, beige, green and blue in another. keep white by itself.
stick to the cold water, it'll work just as well and colors keep longer
dont use bleach on the white, it can cause some whites to turn yelowish.

If you don't want the shirts to shrink or the colors to leak onto others, wash them in cold cold water (it also saves energy).

When it comes to the colors, I believe you have it right. White should go by itself, the darkest should go together and then the light colors by themselves. I've also learned that the first time you wash them (when they are brand new) is pretty much the only time you need to worry about the colors. After that, I wouldn't even worry about sorting them. I wash one of my whites with the rest of my dark clothes and it's been ok!

best way to keep your t shirts looking new is to seperate darks from lights. Always wash in cold water so the colors will not bleed and throw it into a cool dryer. Use gentle detergent. Detergents that do not contain perfume or other harsh chemicals.

Light colors including white, beige and llight blue and then the darker colors. They will be softer and nicer if you dry them in the dryer, just use air or very low heat, not hot.

Hopefully you did not dry the trousers in the dryer. Just wash them again. If you dried them, soak in OxyClean first, then wash with detergent.
