If it's a poem that you have created and not lyrics from a song then I think it would show creativity.
If you use lyrics from a song that is copyrighted you would need permission to use the lyrics, otherwise you would be illegally using them and that's not something that would get you accepted into the college.

That is 100% terrible idea and bound to get you rejected from the school you're applying to. Don't even think about doing it--not even a poem of your own would be a good idea.

that's a really bad idea the admissions board probably wouldn't get it think of the potential generation gap in music and since you don't know who will be seeing it you can't tailor to your audience
