American League East history
1969-71 (division championships; World Series winner)
Indians
Orioles (3; 1971)
Red Sox
Senators
Tigers
Yankees
1972-76 (Senators relo'd to Arlington, renamed Texas Rangers, transferred to AL West; Brewers transferred to East)
Brewers
Indians
Orioles (2)
Red Sox (1)
Tigers (1)
Yankees (1)
1977-93 (Blue Jays added through expansion)
Blue Jays (5; 1992, 1993)
Brewers (2*)
Indians
Orioles (2; 1983)
Red Sox (3)
Tigers (2; 1984)
Yankees (4*; 1977, 1978)
* == includes one half-season championship in 1981 split season.
1994-97 (realignment into three divisions/league; Brewers, Indians depart East; division titles + wildcards)
Blue Jays
Orioles (1 + 1)
Red Sox (1)
Tigers
Yankees (2* + 2; 1996)
* == includes 1994 strike season, when no divisional championships were declared.
1998-2006 (Devil Rays added through expansion; Tigers depart East; ** == wildcard title)
Blue Jays
Devil Rays
Orioles
Red Sox (0 + 5; **2004)
Yankees (9; 1998, 1999, 2000)
And that brings us to 2007.
Boston has not actually won the East since 1995. The last non-Yankees division champion was Baltimore in 1997.

A few different teams in the 80's; Baltimore, Detroit, Milwaukee
Baltimore in 1969, 1970,1971, 1973 & 1979
Toronto in 1993
Detroit in 1968 &1972 when they were still in the East
Baltimore in 1966 when there were no divisions (and the Yankees finished LAST that year and in 1990)
I'm sure there are other years also if you want to search year by year
