I use them and it is a great product. It is better than those other brand out there, that is why it is the number one im america.

the reason their sales are good is, that there are thousands of consultants with too much stock, they were forced to buy, and now can't get rid of. i personally know several of them, they are desperate to unload their inventory. mk is overprices, the quality is poor, i can buy philosophy skincare for less than mk, that uses cheap fillers, that make me break out (mineral oil,etc.). i am glad, you like the products, as you'll be wearing the stock they've made you order, for years to come.

They are expensive. $6.00 for nail polish which doesn't have a better formula or better color selection than your local market or drug store is a bit ridiculous. $10 for eyeliner. The only products that are worth the cost from MaryKay Cosmetics are the skin care and foundations. That's it. Nowadays most people are going for the Bare Minerals collection stuff anyway. And then there's the part where you have to wait for it to come in or for the rep to bring it to you. It's more of a hassle than just going to the store and picking something out right then and there.

It is not the fact that it is expensive. It is that it is way overpriced for the quality in which it delivers. If you like it and want to rep. it there are plenty of people out there that will pay the prices so they do not have to leave their homes. It is all about marketing.

Yeah, like the person above said, they ARE expensive. You can get nailpolish for like, $0.99 at a grocery store.
I don't know why though, because a ton of people I know are allergic to it...eh, I don't know what they put in it that does that but I dunno. I don't think it's #1 in america, there are tons of other brands that are popular also.

Mary kay is not too expensive, it's just like all other make up, but there is no buildings to rend and no employees to pay. the reps make commish. and pay for their own supplies.
I don't like the heavy feeling it leaves.

number one in america????? huh???? marykay is crap. I tried it and hated it. My mom and sister hated it. 2 of my friends who used it hated it. Try bare minerals. I don't use it, but Clinique is number one in america.

My dear it is not THE NUMBER ONE IN AMERICA as you quoted, it is truly poor quality. Mary Kay hides behind its image, but all it is, is a Multi Level Scam.
You are in the same boat as Arbonne and Avon, at least Arbonne even though it is inferior quality as well I still found it to be better than Mary Kay.

i dont think they are expensive!! and its a great quality!!!love the satin hands, and lips, and the fancy footsy what ever they call it!!! their eyeshadows are awesome. It is a booming company!!!! way better than avon!!
