Disagree.
That's the most selfish thing you can say. God provided you with all of these utilities and you treat it like crap.
And you're not hurting Earth, you're killing Earth and everyone else that lives on it because you want to drive around being all high and mighty.
Does that answer your question?

You are not doing anything wrong. I would seal the windows and doors just because of the bills you are probably paying and I would turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth because you don't need the water running if you aren't using it at that time. Otherwise, drive what you like and need to drive. I wouldn't own a home that had solar or wind power as it is highly expensive and oftentimes useless. You can find many other ways to conserve if you choose. This push toward green is more than a little maddening and in most cases not cost efficient. Pick you battles. The earth isn't going anywhere. Next year we will have a global freezing scare. These things come up every 25 years. Think about every time the greenie weenies get on their private jets and think nothing of it while making the rest of us feel we aren't considerate enough. Give me a break.

Yeah, Bush came over here on a jumbo just for him and Condoleezza, and the funny thing, it was to discuss setting an "aspirational" target to reduce carbon emissions. What a joke. But if you really do all the things you say you do, then you're not helping either. Somebody said on here yesterday, that if we stopped all greenhouse emissions today, it would still take a thousand years to get the planet back into shape, so it's more important to worry about the economy. Is that short sighted or what?
But at least you can rest assured you're not hurting the environment as much as if you had a hybrid car.

You go Guy!
The idea that you have the ability to affect this huge planet by a noticeable amount all by yourself is the height of hubris.
Take away all the people right now, and 200 years from now, 98% of our glorious civilization will be dust. Don't take them away, and 200 years from now, someone will be crapping on your pile of crap. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be.
And to the lame-brain that suggests that the temps could get to 200 degrees, what sorry excuse for an education system generated YOU?

Actually, the biggest polluters are the power plants that run on coal, but yes, cars pollute big time too. Every little bit helps, and if everyone thinks the way you do, this planet is screwed.
Why should you care? You shouldn't. Frankly, I'm looking forward to humans becoming extinct. Serves us right.

"But the fact of the matter is we have money. I have money. I don't need to conserve. I can afford my utility bills. So why should I care?"
Because you are hurting the earth and environment. You have a responsible to conserve. I can afford to do SOME of that, but I sure don't. I am very conservative.

Your offending of the earth should be the least of your worries. You should be much more worried about offending the God who made you, because He not only has the power to kill you but He also has the power to cast both soul and body into Hell, which is the lake of fire that burns forever and ever.

Aren't we all destroying this planet? We as people are the ones driving extinction to everything, including ourselves. It's just a matter of time before we kill ourselves.

No, not agreed. No matter how much money you have, when the average temps in the summer spike to 200 degrees (which is possible.) your money won't save you.
Agreed?
