We had that problem with Pampers. Great diapers, but my kids were allergic to something in them. Try changing from disposables to cloth diapers. We went to a diaper service and it cleared up. Hope it helps. Can't be fun for baby or mom I'll bet. My heart goes out to you. Good Luck.

Hi there, sounds like she is really in a bad way. Are you by chance using Pampers? I've heard other people say that they can't use them. .
I suggest giving her a bath with very little Mild Soap, but
before bathing her put some cornstarch in a skillet and just stir it around until it starts to brown. Let it cool
Anyway, give her a bath, then for as long as you can leave her diaper off and keep her on her tummy. Sprinkle the cornstarch over her bottom just like you would powder. Do not use you Zincofax yet. Try to let her air with that on for about 15min, or more if she'll let you. When you go to diaper her just use a very small amt. of Zincofax .
Try that for a couple of days you don't have to bathe her everytime of course, but make sure the "paste" is off of her little bum before "powder" her.
You should also at least discuss your situation with the Nurse at your pediatrician office, they may think that she needs a round of antibiotics.
Good Luck, hope she feels better soon!

Ok, here is what you do. You first clean out your sink, use bleach on it to make sure it is really, really clean. Put tepid water or slightly warmish water in your kitchen sink and put baking soda in the water, mix it around. Use maybe 3 inches of water to 1/2 cup of baking soda. Baking soda neutralizes the burning on the bloody area. Let your baby just soak in the water for at least 15 minutes or until the baby gets cold. Dry the baby off and leave the babies bottom open to the air. I had to do this with my son. Are you nursing? If so, it could be the kind of food you are eating that is causing the diaper rash. Are you giving your baby water during the day? Babies need water for hydration just like we do. With giving your baby water it helps to dilute the urine and helps with the diaper rash. These are some of the ideas that I had to use, hope they helped. Good Luck and Blessings !!!

my son had the same thing---one simple solution is baking soda!! at bath time put enough baking soda in the water to where it feels slimey. let your baby soak in it for a while before you bathe him/her. before you put the diaper on coat the butt with some type of diaper rash cream (i swear by boudreaux's butt past - very mild smell and covers well). also until it heals you can also try cloth diapers. they allow the skin to breath more than a regular diaper helping the rash to heal.
hope things get better.

Wash the baby with clean water each time you change a nappy.
Sprinkle (lightly) the area with corn flour.
Make sure baby's skin is dry, first.
Let the baby lie around, for a short time only, without a nappy on.
The clean water, pure corn flour & fresh air will help to heal your baby's skin. I have done this before & it really works.
I've just noticed you're probably American. I'm not sure what you call corn flour, but I'm sure it has a different name there.

you should see your pediatric and see what he tells you. i used for my 18month old johnson&johnson baby powder but it HAS to be pure cornstarch and my son has never had a diaper rash. i remember when he was born alot of people told me that baby powder wasn't good for protection of rash and i tried a&d and desitin and everything else and everytime i would experiment i would see that it didn't work as good as the powder try it you might be surprise.

She should be seen by her doctor and they will prescribe something for her...probably nystatin and they will tell you not to use wipes - only use warm wet wash cloths and let her air dry. I would give her some tylenol (ask doc) for the discomfort. Good luck!
