SF is pretty pet friendly. Many hotels are as well so you can bring your dog with you. Joie de Vivre and Kimpton both offer pet friendly hotels.

There is also a brand new luxury hotel just for animals call Wag hotel.

Many restaurants have outdoor seating where you dog can sit with you while you eat.

Ft. Funston has an off leash area, and there are lots of parks in the city that become doggie central several times a day.

Hope you and Fido have a great time in San Francisco!

While I can't help in the SF department, don't come to Napa then. The only place that might consider your pup (Cuttings Wharf) I swear to G-d abused our dog while we were away. And no known hotels that accepts pets.

However, there are leash-free parks here if you're on a day trip. Alston Park is the most popular one. Good luck, I love my pup too.
