pretty much so. It's a remnant of the Ollie North connections that provided merc support for South American death squads and helped old Ollie to smuggle 30 million coke into America to pay for an arms deal with, oooooooh, you gotta love the irony: Iran!

30 million dollars worth of coke. I guess Ollie thought just say no meant just say how much is in it for me.

I hope so. They could solve a lot of problems by being "civilians" instead of government employees on a leash imposed by liberals who care more about the enemies of freedom than they do those who defend freedom.
It's worth noting that islamofascist terrorists are also technically civilians. If our enemy's "civilians" are attacking us, then it is only fair that our "civilians" fight back.

I would say yes. They have primarily ex-military special forces etc. easy to slide a few in there if not have them running the thing.
