Don't do it. Any "agency" that asks you for money is a scam. Real agents get their pay in the form of a percentage of what their clients get paid on jobs they line up for them. So if the client (you) is not getting paid, the agent is not getting paid. Gives them incentive to keep their clients working.

If you "really really wanna be an actress" you need to understand that some huge job that will make you a house-hold name is NOT just going to fall into your lap. With the exception of a very, VERY few big name actors all toiled for years (in some cases, decades) doing bit-parts and extra work and whatever they could get just to get bye before they had their "big break". Start small. Get involved in your school drama club and community theatre. Start looking into acting classes and college acting programs. Even if you're lucky enough to have a lot of talent and to get good training, your chances of making it big as an actress are incredibly slim. Keep that in mind. Acting might really be only something that will work for you as a hobby. If you're trying to do it for any reason at all other than loving acting for the sake of the art and craft that it is, the film/theatre/TV industry will chew you up and spit you out so fast you won't know what hit you. It's a brutal line of work. If you're not doing it for the love of it, then you won't make it.

Tell them you can't make a decision until you discuss it with your parents. If they ask for money, leave!

John Casablancas, is NOT going to help your modeling career.

Many years ago, JohnCasablancas, was THE Top modeling agency in New York City. Mr. Casablancas is, as far as I know deceased. The agency is no longer considered top of the line.

If you want to model, mail your photos to: Click, Ford, and other top agencies in NYC.

i did go to that meeting. for about two hours they gushed over how "talented and beautiful" i was then they asked for literally $3,000 for training. i didn't go any farther than that, but some people i know did. they said they got good training but almost no jobs, let alone paying ones. one guy i know worked there but quit because he didn't like the way they made him teach the people and felt bad that they weren't getting anywhere. i suggest going with a private agent (almost all agenCIES are scamish). private ones cost less and they focuse more on you and getting you jobs. the only thing they don't offer is training. but it's easy to get training yourself. join many acting classes and theatre groups. even if theatre isn't where you want to end up in the end, it's still acting, and you will get great experience.there were many celebs who before their first starring role only did school plays.
good luck!!
