Nope, we attacked those who ACTUALLY attacked us. U boats in the case of Germany and Pearl Harbor with the Japanese. Since Italy was an ally of Germany they declared war on us and so we were fighting them too. In WWII we were not the first, as a soverign nation, to attack another soverign nation as in this war.

The United States entered WWII in 1941 and made the major contribution to winning it four years later. George Bush is talking about being in Iraq for decades. Who invaded the wrong country?

In WW2 the enemy had the courtesy to wear uniforms making it easier to tell.
I don't think we invade the wrong country now. I think we haven't invaded enough yet. Iran should be next we should also place a crippling embargo on N korea as this would be more effective than Invasion.
If the UN would have had the guts to enforce their own resolutions this would not even be a question right now
People say we invaded Ieaq becuase of oil! I say Russia, France and Germany didn't Invade because of oil. Their stake was in oil contracts they would lose if saddam was over thrown so they chose greed over what was right.

No, we didn't. Hitler was invading country after country and Japan attacked us first. We actually were trying to stay out of it. When Japan attacked, we had no choice but to join the fighting.

No, we did not. There is a distinct difference though between the enemy we faced in World War II and the enemy we face in the war on terror.
In World War II, it was clear who the enemy was. They had borders, an army, a government, an infrastructure, etc. Finding out what to bomb, destroy, and attack was pretty easy. If it is German, Japanese, or Italian, it is the enemy.
In the war on terror, we are faced with an enemy that has no borders, no standing army, no real government, no infrastructure. We know who the leader is, Osama bin Laden, but don't know where to find him. It is much more difficult to know which countries are enemies, friends, or in between.

I agree we invaded both Japan and Afghanistan. Both for good reason.
We liberated France and rest of Europe and we liberated Iraq. You're just seeing one side of the story in Iraq. Go ask a Kurd if things are better.

properly, we are in human beings's agency each and every of the time, no count if it particularly is through words or through deeds. There are different issues than making statements and sending troops... we additionally deliver funds to different international places, take components from different international places, and commerce with different international places. in actual fact that we can and do help and do injury to different international places with out sending troops, and maximum of it is going fairly left out. not all funds despatched is genuinely help, the two... to illustrate, in Venezuela, USAid provides its funds to Chavez's political combatants, to not help the folk. And in Argentina, the place i'm presently dwelling, an American agency owns the main important sparkling water source interior the international, supposedly to "preserve" it, yet as water will become scarce, they sell it off in sections to different companies at earnings of 500% or extra. meanwhile the cities surrounding the main important sparkling water source interior the international don't have get right of entry to to eating water. it particularly is via UN legislations. Then there is labor... my spouse, until presently, replaced into working for next to not something in a decision middle helping MSN clientele interior the U.S. Many products and amenities offered interior the U.S. are made through unlawful, underpaid, or slave workers interior the U.S. and through the international, China being the main widespread occasion. This vogue is increasing, as companies cover the inflation which might otherwise divulge our loss of a healthful financial gadget, and pocket the earnings. in actual fact that international kinfolk are extra troublesome than basically a count of international kinfolk and conflict... i think of the superb component shall we accomplish that as that no person might hate us may well be to bypass a regulation that interior the U.S., no provider or product would desire to be bought that may not produced through people who earn money salary for their place interior the international. this might decrease outsourcing and make human beings chuffed, and make different international places chuffed via fact there might nevertheless be sufficient outsourcing to offer their those with jobs, and those human beings might earn sufficient that those jobs may well be good for their interior sight economies... bear in suggestions purely having jobs isn't good for an financial gadget if the jobs do not pay sufficient for the folk to stay and the government has to %. up the slack.

No, it is a good thing Dewey was so weak in power, and Joseph McCarthy was not elected until 1947. Or we may well might have.
