Dave Chappelle has the best skits. But Bill Cosby is an absolute genius when it comes to originality.

Classically, out of familial obligation, I have to say Richard Pryor.(He was my guy's second or third cousin.) He was funny and I LOVE his blatant and fearless comedy.
More recent, I have to say it's a toss up between Steve Harvey and Bernie Mac...And Cedric the Entertainer. I'm not a big fan of the other "King of Comedy"-because he seems to rely too much on personal shots at the audience..."Drillin'" I never really found that sh*t as amusing as it is hurtful. But I am really sensitive.

Eddie Murphy. He was really funny on SNL. I loved him in Zoolander and Trading Places. Best ever in Dream Girls, except that was not a comic role.
