I can think of a few places in the UK this might apply to, but come to my hometown and they generally employ quite pretty lasses for whom a spot would be the end of the world...! :-)
There are a few problems with working there however - mainly that if you eat fisn n' chips every day you'll get fat. Trust me on this, I did it for 6 months.
The spots generally come from the amount of hydrogenated fat that's floating around the air. This stuff is officially 10x worse for clogging up your insides than eating lard and imagine what'd happen if you put lard on your skin.
Ugly - is all relative. I've been told I'm ugly by some people and I've got really lovely eyes by others including the gay guy who makes the best fish n' chips in the UK (according to me).
Dress sense - a lot tend to wear overalls or similar again due to the fat and health & safety, but it's not only the frying but the cleaning up of the fryers you've got to do and that is seriously bad news for your clothing. If you do a hot fat dump and get it on something other than jeans, it'll melt it.
If you want better looking ones - come to Cumbria (NW England) and as long as it's either Kendal or Penrith then you should be fine.

No not really. My local chip shop has a very pretty young lady who works in there, about a size 12/14. Probably fat compared to the size zero models people idolise so much. She doesn't have spots and yeah the apron she wears is a bit naff but I don't think she would neccessarily wear her sunday best to work in a chip shop now do you? It is a job at the end of the day and somebody has to do it. If they were at home dossing and claiming benefits there would be a uproar yet there out working and this is what they have to put up with. They are human beings and deserve respect. If you dispise these women so much then no one asks you to go into the shops they work in. Its simple, cook at home!

You clearly don't live in the same area as me. Our fish and chip shop is run by a Chinese couple and she is small and dainty like a little doll she has a very beautiful face. They have 2 teenage girls working in there with them and although I would like to scrub some of the make up off their faces they are both very pretty! As for dress sense - coveralls and white hats are never going to be any ones first choice but I really don't think that can be blamed on them having no dress sense!!

At least they've got a bloody job... The majority of people in this world aren't attractive. And if they are overweight with skin issues, do you have any idea how hard that is? People staring, whispering, and laughing at them. All the time? I have been blessed that I have never been fat, always had clear skin, a perfect set of strong fingernails, straight white teeth. I have lost many a "friend" because I willl not tolerate them ridiculing someone for their appearance. Or their station in life. Be a defender of those less fortunate. They have feelings too.

Have you been to every fish and chip shop in the country then?
My chip shop is run by a Turkish Cypriot family and I must say, both the daughters are slim and very pretty..

but theres a real babe who works in the one I used to go to (when I was 7!) she is a little chubby, but looks so pretty with it. I can see when I walk past the window which looks out onto the street, she only looks about 20. Not spotty or fat or ugly though!
(No I am not gay!)

sorry I have to disagree with you there before i moved there was the most beauitful girl working at my local chip shop there was no fat spots and def no uglyness about her
and dress sense is hard working in a food enviroment as you have to comply with healh and hygine regs

Maybe where you're from, but not here. A lot of young people do this kind of work to finance themselves during college years. As for dress sense, we wouldn't really know because they wear a uniform.

You must live in a very bad area. Try leaving your local street. Most fsh and chips shops have beautiful women in them, friendly and fun. You must go further from your local.

Kind of rude aren't you? Working a "dirty job" does not call for high fashion, and working with all that oil, frying foods is going to cause pits and spots. If they're ugly, well, that's your opinion, and if they are, that negative energy goes into their cooking. So, if you eat their cooking......you'll be ugly as well.
