I'm moving within the next 2 months to South Carolina and have been focusing on Hilton Head. Today I thought to just scope out the area of Myrtle Beach online and I realized how much cheaper it is... Does that reflect the quality of the area?? I'm young, so I don't mind if it's more fast paced, etc. But I do want to be living in a NICE area. Any input would be helpful, since I've never been to either area. Thanks so much!

there's two ways to look at this....you're young... therefore, common sense would have you go to Myrtle, where the action is.... but.... at Hilton Head, where much of the company is older folks, the possibilities for a younger person there are likely much more easily found.... and appreciated.... in a crowd of young folks, you'll just be one more... but in a crowd of older folks, you'd be special..... think about it..........Hilton Head is a bit on the classier side, as well.... more expensive with that.... I love them both... but if I was young again, it would be Hilton Head for me.....

Hilton Head Island are for people that are raising a family or like the quiet, slow paced living. Myrtle Beach has great shopping outlets and a great nightlife. If you go to Myrtle Beach check out "Broadway at the Beach", you can thank me later....On the minus side Myrtle Beach does have a gang problem, but avoid the bad parts of the city and you should be fine.

If you are a golfer... Myrtle Beach... If you are a beach bum Hilton Head.. fishing too is Hilton Head.. and the people in HH seem to have more money and do not tend to mingle like the people at Myrtle Beach.. Any where you go thought (out of those two) are great places to live.. Its just what are you moving for? good luck and God bless... Grant M in Pennsylvania
