This year I'll graduate with a BBA( Bachelor of Business Administration) with concentrations in Accounting and Finance with an overall GPA of 3.2 and major GPA of 3.4. I will do my intern this coming semester. With these qualification, do you think my resume will look good? Do you think prospective employer will hire me with a BBA with 3.2 and incl an internship? I'm worry about finding a job if my GPA is low. Thanks

Your first and maybe second employer out of college will likely take your GPA into consideration, as well as your personality and how you present yourself in the interviews. Employers look at your GPA because you don't have full time/relevant employment history to look at.

You can help yourself get your new employer to overlook a lesser GPA by pimping your resume a bit. What jobs have you had and how are they relevant to the job to which you are applying? What civic organizations have you belonged to and how is that relevant? Do you volunteer? Belong to any business clubs? What is your internship and how does that relate to the job you are applying for? Can you continue to work for the internship company?

Look carefully at what you have done and learned in the past and compare that to the job you are applying to. List a few and their relevance in your resume. Tailor each resume to the job you are applying to.

Once you have had a job for a couple of years, the fact that you graduated is all your employer will care about. They will be more concerned with your employment history and how you fit into the job you are applying for.

The best jobs come from networking, so learn where you can meet and rub elbows with the people in your industry and go to those places so they can get to know you personally.

Your GPA isn't bad... and you have all year to raise it---study hard, apply yourself well and lay off the partying and you SHOULD do well...... if you raise your GPA for THIS year, prospective employers will see that you REALLY TRIED to improve and will think that you might just be willing to do the same if HIRED...

I think you will do just fine. Often times, all that matter is that you have a piece of paper that proves you have a college education. Also, sometimes it's not what you know, but it's how you play the game. Playing politics in office can play huge role on how far your career will go. Good luck to you.

Do a good job at your internship, and get good, solid recommendations. Often, your GPA will not be an issue with these contacts in hand.
