they saved up a lot of pennies and nickles to buy that spacious trailer near the beach, about 5 miles walking distance, where they pick seaweed that washed up on shore for their meals & occasionally boil sting ray stew for dinner.however, they wear a seriously bling'n iced-out Rolex watch that will make 50 cent & Kanye West jealous.

I'm only half Jewish, but one of the stereotypes I did inherit from my heritage was stinginess. (Thank God the hideously large nose was left out...) I also happen to live in Florida, and it was my Jewish Father's idea to move down here. Now, having been taught by some of the greatest masters of that religion at a Hebrew School I went to in a trailer park as well as learning from my family, here is what I have gathered...

They like warm climates. What, you were expecting amazing insight into the minds of a Mensch? I have no clue why Jews migrate to Florida like it was Jerusalem, I didn't even learn Hebrew in Hebrew School.

On a more serious note, you can live very well in Florida and very poorly in most other states on the same salary. It is a much less expensive style of living, although gas is a *****. Everything in this godforsaken state is fifty miles away! It's a ten minute drive just for me to get a gallon of milk.

Also, the Bright Futures Scholarship is excellent for underprivileged students such as myself. It offers 100% automatic scholarship to any student in the state who gets a certain GPA and SAT score, no questions or applications necessary. And considering Florida's low standard of education, it's not that hard to get straight A's...

And yet there's always some kid with an abnormally large forehead that's a virtuoso at the banjo but can't find the value of "x" for the life of him. *sigh* Those are two things Florida never runs out of...stupid people and Jews.

As a grandson of Jews, I resent the stereotype of Jews being stingy. One reason Jews in general have retired to Florida is the warm climate, which older folks of any faith or ethnicity often prefer. (It's good for arthritis, for one thing.). Another reason is that Miami-Dade County has a large Jewish community already. Many Jews prefer to live a faith-based lifestyle, and this works out best when one lives among other Jews. And if you think it's "stingy" to live in Miami, check out the local Real Estate ads for condos down there!

it's warmer so you don't need to buy as much home heating oil, and also most believe that warm weather is healthier and thus lowers your medical bills.
