I sure do wish I had that. I still have my son's Lincoln Logs (remember those?). My grandson calls them Lincoln Legos - guess that's the anique version of Legos!

Heres what ought to describe it. The rhyme is going: around and around the mulberry bush the monkey chased the weasel, the monkey theory 'replaced into all in jest, pop is going the weasel. Then, up pops Jester Jack. The correlation is "jest" and "Jester." Make of it what you will. Or, in step with threat in spite of comes up is meant to be a marvel, no longer what's predicted from the rhyme. This makes it greater relaxing and mysterious. besides, i've got have been given to offer up interpreting this and flow on. (laugh) stable day.

I had a metal Jack In The Box for the longest time and somehow it disappeared during a move!
I had a purebred Airedale terrier who was totally terrified of it after the Jack popped out and scared him to death. Every time someone would start to crank the handle, he'd run lickity split for the door the instant the first note sounded!
It was fun to watch babies play with it while they tried to stuff it back down in the box and close the lid!
Now that you mention it, I might be able to find one on E-bay to take it's place! I really do miss having it!

Never had one....not much of a toy..crank and pop...very predictable, sort of stupid when you get down to it. Now, invent a toy that does the same thing, but never has the same thing pop up and you might be onto something. I was into
Tinker Toys and Erector sets...all those damned nuts and screws, all over the floor...my mother HATED my erector set! (with a passion).

No,don't know what it is. but you could send a picture to 'The Antiques Road Show', and they could give you a fair idea of what it's worth.

I didn't have one as a child but my fiance did, & we have it displayed atop our kitchen cabinets, along with some other nostalgic items.
