I love to shop in M&S whenever I'm in Great Britain! Yes I love the food hall too! Unlike you, I shop the food to save money! As a resident, their food is a bit pricey!. But as a tourist. I can often buy a small portion of something or other. I gather up stuff for a lunchtime gourmet picnic in one of the nice parks. This saves me money on even more expensive restaurant bills!
Food aside. They're a great place to buy all sorts of basic items, in classic styles! Very well made stuff. I usually come home, to the U.S with a new cardigan, or something!

Oh my god yes !!!! I am a flight attendant, who has traveled the U.K extensively, about 180 times.( Manchester, London, Glasgow and Dublin) Nearly everyone of those visits included to a Marks and Spencer Food Hall.I wish they existed in the states. I loved the fresh bakeries, especially the Bramley Apple turnovers and the butterscotch pecan donuts. I loved the salmon and dill cold pasta salad and the many types of sandwiches. Their crisps are delicious as well. You get the idea, I could go on for days.Part of the allure of grocery shopping in another country,is trying new treats and M&S made it very enjoyable. I love the U.K and M&S. Great Question, by the way.

Don't shop in M&S, I go there for a treat as it's so expensive. More of a Tesco person. I love their Lesagne, The Boxed Juices they sell (Apple & Mango especially) and their microwaveable cakes are gorgeous as well. If they were not so expensive and had customer incentives then I would be a big fan of M&S.

Same here, my husband calls that the "Rolls Royce ideas and push bike money syndrome" lol.
Can't really afford to shop there, the only thing I buy is the family's birthday cakes. Luckily we're only 3, otherwise I'll have to remortgage the house, lol.

Usually the only time I go into M&S is to use their bureau de change - and for some reason, in Cambridge, they put it in a store which has nothing else except women's clothing. The men's clothing and food is in another shop across the street.
