I definitely am if I'm comfortable with a person, but I will do the read between the lines thing at times because I'm shy at first

Far too honest! I end up shooting myself in the foot. I hate lying but if I had to lie (as in to protect a friend or loved one) then i would try my best.
I know honesty IS the best policy but it never seems to work for me!

Yes. At the end of the day it is about being honest to yourself - if you lie and cheat, you end up believing the crap. Honesty is about being a true and authentic human being, dishonesty is a conceit to that endeavour.
