cooler night temps, Better sleeping weahter, Fresh nice evenly mild days, Rains start to come back. The days start to shorten in light a bit, which makes the working days go by quicker, the Fish bite better, the deer start to feed for hunting season, And the best thing is that When Indian Summer starts after the first hard frost and Freeze come, the Beauty of the fall colors come out from the Leaves and Bushes. Also the farmers get to see what god provided all us for another season of growing crops, and time for harvest before Winter rears up to hit.

The crisp air of an Autumn day, when the sky is that amazing blue contrasted against the warm earth-tones of the turning leaves – reds and golds and oranges and browns and yellows. And the smells of smoke from distant fires and the decay of leaves as they return to that from whence they came.
Also, cooler temperatures, football, the harvest, Halloween, Thanksgiving, pumpkins, time with family and friends.

Two things... I dig the leaves as they turn the colors... but it's not the same unless it's cold enough to bite the end of my nose. I like the chill in the air... with the leaves... hmm... one without the other just doesn't compute.

elen Hunt Jackson (1830-1885)
October's Bright Blue Weather
O SUNS and skies and clouds of June,
And flowers of June together,
Ye cannot rival for one hour
October's bright blue weather;
When loud the bumble-bee makes haste,
Belated, thriftless vagrant,
And Golden-Rod is dying fast,
And lanes with grapes are fragrant;
When Gentians roll their fringes tight
To save them for the morning,
And chestnuts fall from satin burrs
Without a sound of warning;
When on the ground red apples lie
In piles like jewels shining,
And redder still on old stone walls
Are leaves of woodbine twining;
When all the lovely wayside things
Their white-winged seeds are sowing,
And in the fields, still green and fair,
Late aftermaths are growing;
When springs run low, and on the brooks,
In idle golden freighting,
Bright leaves sink noiseless in the hush
Of woods, for winter waiting;
When comrades seek sweet country haunts,
By twos and twos together,
And count like misers, hour by hour,
October's bright blue weather.
O suns and skies and flowers of June,
Count all your boasts together,
Love loveth best of all the year
October's bright blue weather.

The leaves. There's this tree I pass by in the morning on the way to school and it is so beautiful in the fall. It has yellowy orange leaves and I just can't help but stare at it.

The first really good cold front.
WOW!
Nothing beats the feeling of going from a hot, humid summer to a crisp, cool air.
