Why do ghosts exist?

Because we exist
A Ghost is a Spirit which is a Soul the Etheric body that we use to Astral Travel so when we pass over that is what leaves the body. It is understood as a sort of life force body or aura that constitutes the "blueprint" of the physical body, and which sustains the physical body.

Some people don't pass over because of unfinished business
Or they just don't know they have died
Or they didn't know to go to the light
This is what people call a Ghost
I call Spirit some call Lost Souls

You also have a Spirit Guide which has been with you from the time you was born till the day you pass over : )

Do you also know that people that Astral Travel are seen as ghost, so maybe people are seeing ghost maybe are just living people just exploring via Astral travelling : )

I believe ghosts do exist, there is too much evidence.
I think ghosts remain as they do not know they have died and are stuck in limbo, usually because their death was traumatic, or because they still have a purpose to fill before they can pass on to the afterlife.
I also believe loved ones can come back after passing on to give reassuring messages or warnings.

An odd question - even those who do believe in ghosts don't all agree on the reasons for ghosts. Personally I believe there's a weakness in the human mind, a need to believe that there's more to existence than this life, which leads to all sorts of supernatural beliefs (including religion, which is a whole other can of worms in itself).

I like your questions.
Some insects have 1.000 eyes that make up 1 whole eye, they see different. There are things humans can't see, that a bird can. Humans are all genetically separate, almost chromosome ly (if -u- will) the same. Adding a spirit to our chromosome, creates vibration. I think we remember vibrations, just as well as a scent. (Did -u- know you never forget a sent!) Making sort of an imprint in time. Maybe vibrations are our spiritual thumb print?
As to why, maybe there's no limbo, purgatory, no moral question. Maybe ghosts are actually people sleeping having O.B.E.'s...?Comp

when a person dies the pysical body is left behind but the spiritual body of which you call ghosts moves up to the light the body is a shell and the spirit carries on you are spirit with a shell, if you die and dont realise that you have gone over the spirit wanders this you call a ghost, being a clairvoyant my job is to comunicate with the spirit and to help them into the light if they are lost, not all spirit are lost, for more information get in touch.

Does this mean you have proof of ghosts? I would suggest that ghosts are peoples perceptions and so they exist because people exist. Outside of that they do not exist.

If you're thinking "why do people insist that ghosts exist?" there are a number of answers to that one, notably the human fear of death and the hope of some form of spiritual survival past the cessation of vital activity in our meat bodies.

Human beings from across the world accept that ghosts exist. For them, these beings are all too real. They come from the past, from buried feelings about the decedents that were never resolved whilst those decedents were alive, and in that respect those emotions haunt us, figuratively and literally.

The emotional connections we share to those who have Gone Beyond are the reason why people insist on their existence. And those connections are proof against any form of glib rationalisation or facile explanationism that pretends to be "rational" or "scientific", assuming that people still put their trust in Science and as questions any more, rather than merely wave Dawkins books at people and yell at them to shut up.

If you're thinking "why do ghosts exist" mythically, depends on whether you're talking about actual ghosts, spiritual remnants left behind on Earth with little motivation but to hang on to what little tattered shreds of soul they have left rather than Move On, or ancestor spirits, who aren't the actual ancestors themselves but a spiritual representation of the family's Archetypes upon whom certain sensitives can call to provide guidance and succor to their "descendants".

In the case of ghosts ghosts, their purpose is simply to hang on; in the case of ancestor spirits, they exist to guide, in payment for being regularly honoured at family gatherings and ceremonies.
