Liquid....gas cant take a shape.if gas was to be put in a container it woudl have a lot of pressure and explode!

Gas. If a container is half-full of liquid, then it cannot take the volume of its container. Gas takes both shape and volume.

Only a gas because a liquid will spread out to evenly cover its container. It couldn't take the volume.
