um i don't know. is there a pet or animal section on yahoo answers? maybe they know better then me.

Probably a hairball or something. Cats are un predictable in behavior and there is no cause for alarm like with dogs or other animals. My cat does weird stuff all the time and I just find it amusing. I have had my cat for 12 or so years now and I just let him be him.

Probably. Felines have "false alarms"- too. Just keep an eye on her... -her kittens should be coming around, shortly... :)
