In 94-95 (somewhere around there) the creator of Superman decided that after 50 years it was time to kill off Superman. So he created the Doomsday story.

After Superman's death, it was to be all over.

But something changed all that.

What was it that the creator said that if anyone else had done it he would never have considered bringing superman back?

I'm a big superman fan....even I'm puzzled on this one. I don't know if it is just the wording...but I can't think of anythig.

I know that they were going to bring him back in a shorter time, however being a corporation and all they were seeing how big the death of Superman was, so they prolonged it.

I'm interested on really hearing the answer to this one.

I never heard of this either, I think it was a sales gimmick unless you are alluding to some sort of lawsuit by the creators of Superman, in which case DC would have shuffled the character to show "we can get rid of your Superman and replace him with one of our own." thus negating or minimalzing their claim on the character.
