I don't think anything can really prevent them but the lotions, oils, and cremes can help reduce them. It's also good for you skin anyway. You don't have to get the expensive kind, any generic cocoa butter/vitamin e stuff works.

Cocoa Butter was what I used, and I didn't get any, but also you need to stay hydrated, that helps preventing stretch marks. The other thing to know is that they are hereditary, so if your mother got them, your probably going to also, might get less than she did if you use the lotions but your still probably going to get them.

Nothing can prevent stretch marks...Really. Stretch marks are scarring of the skin cause by stretching. Some people get them, some don't. But nothing is proven to stop them.

It has to do with the elasticty of your skin, and that is inherited. My mom didn't get strecth marks and neither did I, and I rarely used any of the lotion on my belly. My friend used the lotion 2x a day and got stetch marks everywhere, and so did her mom.

Nothing can prevent or get rid of stretchmarks. They are completely genetic. It all has to do with the elasticity of your skin. I got really bad stretch marks with my first (i am now pregnant with #2, and waiting for them to come back :( ). Ask your doctor, she'll tell you, nothing can prevent them. Sorry!

nope sorry, stretchmarks are inherited. If you already have stretchmarks elsewhere, the odds of you getting them in pregnancy are greater. Of course I don't have any yet, nor have I used any creams or lotions.

They didn't work for me, but I guess everyone is different. I tried about 4 different ones and none of them helped!
