Shoes on a table, opening umbrella indoors and leaving hats on the bed. I also always greet magpies.

Owls now, thanks to my girlfriend.
I personally never had a problem with them growing up as many came and hung out at night in our yard in our trees. However I've met more than a couple folks, including my gf who has bad luck w/ them and now I"M superstitious. Someone always seems to die, or something almost just as bad happens within the very near future.
A few myths about them say you should hoot back, or take off a piece of clothing and turn it inside out before putting it back on...ect.

Getting a great deal on a plasma screen TV from a guy on the street sweating and breathing hard.
It's an omen that your going to get busted by the cops.

Definitely walking under ladders . It's amazing how many people will walk right round though rather than go underneath.

Famous people tend to die in 3's. If one dies, there will shortly be 2 more.

I'd like to say I'm not, but I really hate it when I see just one magpie.
