Usually for better air intake, most likely for a turbo charger to suck in cool air

Hi i am seventeen, I dragrace and I don't recall there being any head lights at all on the car. I would probablly guess that they would just have one headlight because so that the car in front of them won't see them coming. I bracket race and this is what seems to be the reason why.

You often see this, one headlight is removed, and relaced with an air intake to the carb or throttle body. There are actually kits available to do this on several models.
They do this to get forced cold air into the car!

Hmm....have never seen this. You must mean amateur racers. Pros don't have any headlights.
BUT, a guess would be so more air gets in to the engine area or brake area.

depends...various reasons...less weight/for air intake/for number plate/etc
