My daughter got married last weekend and when I saw her in her wedding dress I was so overwhelmed it took my breath away. There are few moments like this in our lives, please tell me yours.

Last night I wanted a drink of ice water. The kitchen was pitch dark, but I know my way around the kitchen. However, what I didn't know is that my daughter had left the cabinet door beneath the sink open. In height that door comes to about 4 inches beneath my belt buckle. Edge on. Nuf said?

When I walked around a street corner in LA and saw a man with a shotgun barrel on a mut's head. When he pulled the trigger, it took my breath away. I don't think that moment would go into the same category as yours, but I was unable to breathe for a moment. I almost killed him, but the pigs showed up.

I met my girlfriend on line. I am in the UK, she was living in Tehran. We talked for about 4 months and developed strong feelings for each other. I went and bought a web-cam because I wanted to know if I was acceptable to her even though I was terrified of the moment!

We did that and she said that she liked me even more!!
In Iran, she could not buy a web-cam as they were only permitted in internet cafes, so one Saturday morning she went to a cafe in the city and I was waiting in my computer room in the UK.

Women must have their hair covered in public in Iran, so my first sight was only of her face. I messaged her and said I couldn't see her very well, then she leaned forward directly into the cam and smiled.

It was like a mule had kicked me in the chest. I stopped thinking and just sat staring. I never had, and never will see anything so beautiful again.

My youngest grandson was born six years ago and when I held him for the first time that took my breath away, it was so beautiful.
My breath was also taken away on 15th August this year, but for a totally different reason. I had a hip and knee replacement surgery on the 13th and they hauled me out of bed for the first time on the 15th! Yep, that definitely took my breath away, lol:-D

Nothing as good as that for me i must say! Last time something took my breath away was pain when dentists gave me root canal treatment last week. It felt that bad i couldn't breathe! She had to stop and let me get my breath back. I wish it had been for a better reason!

(which i'll have the mark to enjoy for a few days now too :) ) or when after she washed her hands, instead of drying them put them all cold n wet on my back n ribs!! eek!
