What are some different "types" of German ships? I'm not looking for the name of them, just the type. I'm looking for a type that was used between the years 1500 and 1700

for example- a galleon (although that's not German.)

Can anybody help me out? Thanks

The Hanseatic League preferred to use "cogs" and "carracks".

Frosty- Member cities of the Hanse controlled Baltic trade so they better well have had lots of ships.

The Germans didn't do much exloring so they probably didn't have toomany ships during that time period. Try this site:
