IPod Nano 4g?

Question

I am new to the whole Ipod craze. I am about to buy an IPod Nano 4 gig from someone on craigslist. You don't need an Apple computer right? How do you get the music onto the Ipod? And someone said something about a docking station?

you don't need a docking station unless you want to listen to your music out loud. also you can download iTunes. from www.apple.com. click on downloads. and you should see it. Also you can get free 100% music from www.limewire.com
unless you want to pay 1.00 per song on itunes. but i encourage you to download those two programs because you will need them. and no you don't need a apple computer. as long as you have a USB hub to plug your ipod into, your find. also make sure that person sends you the charger with it, you kno like the plug you plug into your computer to sync music. because you will need that and i know people don't like to send you everything that is suppose to go with things.

no u dont need an apple comp, you download the free itunes program from apple to get music on your ipod and a docking station isnt necessary, its just convenient so you can charge, transfer and listen to music at the same time.

you dont need an apple computer, you need itunes music player form apple.com, the docking station is for playing music and charging the ipod etc..you can do without the dock, unless you wanna enjoy you ipod through the dock...

you don't need a Mac(or as you wrote Apple) to use your ipod, you can use any computer, you put music in it buy importing Cd's downloading music, or buying it from the apple store, but you need an account, the docking station is just the cable that came with the iPod to connet it to your computr

any computer with itunes will work. Download itunes from apple.com.
the ipod comes with a cable which can plug into any usb port. iTunes will update the ipod automatically, unless you tell it not to. that's also how it charges, or you can buy a wall charger.
