Honestly, not that much. It's not like Chicago, where you go for the pizza and the Cubs and Millenium Park, or New York, where you go for the Broadway shows and the museums and Central Park. Phoenix does have great golf, and some excellent restaurants, and a decent enough zoo and some pleasant museums, but overall Phoenix is a big sprawling suburb of a city. What Phoenix *is* good for, though, is an excellent jumping off point for the rest of Arizona. If you want to visit the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona, Payson, Tucson, the Painted Desert, etc. there's no better starting point than Phoenix.

I have visited Phoenix before and I am getting ready to go again. I love it there. As mentioned by others there are a lot of things to do. It is fairly close to the Grand Canyon (well worth the drive.) Phoenix is so beautiful and so clean. I am a Diamond Backs fan too. PLUS my son lives there and serves our country proudly. He likes it there very much and always seems to have something to do. As for the heat, I don't mind it that much. I am from the east so going there is quite different than what I am used to.

The Grand Canyon State has so many scenic wonders that it would take me hours to list them all. Phoenix is in the center of the state and offers the cheapest rates on great food and lodging in the country. If the beauties of the desert and mountains does not appeal to you I would go elsewhere. Phoenix is unique and it is a showplace for Southwest Art and relaxation. There are 400 golf courses in the area, plus many lakes and rivers for fishing and water sports. Everyone lives around their pool and the party is continuous.

nothing at all I'm afraid lol there really is no point in visiting Phoenix, there are alot of beautiful things to see in this state but they have nothing to do with phoenix, the reason why there are so many people living here is because there are alot of good jobs and alot of retirement people running from snow. dont visit here !!!! go somewhere that has culture and things to do.

The weather, the golf courses. There is a bit a fine dining. And it is not as crowded as the bigger major cities.
