Shame on Columbia!!!! Why would they want to welcome a terrorist - a man that orders our soldiers killed. The very moment he's speaking our soldiers will be in harm's way because of him. The supporters of Columbia should close their checkbooks!!!

I do not understand how a University, who will not allow the ROTC...or any military recruitment on campus....allows (not allows...welcomes) the leader of a country who sponsor's terrorism.

I mean, there is just no justifying that.

To me, this means they have absolutely no moral grounds to stand on....and I am sure they will deny any accusations of prejudice.

I am fully convinced that, were he not in hiding, they would roll out the welcome mat for Osama himself...geez!!

I find it incredible that these academics cannot understand that Ahmadinejad is using them in a big PR campaign in order to undermine the US.

The word "tool" comes to mind.

Why give a man who screams "Death to Israel!" a forum?

Being Liberal doesn't make you a moron. I wouldn't call it liberal so much as more of anarchist path. I'm sure they wanted attention but not for the reasons their getting it. My husband is Iranian, he doesn't understand it either.

It fits in with their style.

They won't let a border patrol advocate speak there but hey someone who hates America, c'mon down.

Wow, if this was 20 years ago and if he was saying the same rhetoric about the USSR as he does the west, I'm pretty sure cons would be welcoming him into the US with open arms.

I wonder if Columbia will give him the same protection (or lack thereof) they give to their conservative speakers.

Fine with me. It is not like his country was the one responsible for the attacks of Sept. 11th (which many seem to be confused about)!

I'm sure they are working on some way to clone Hitler for the same purpose.
