I know I also get annoyed. When I see that response, I think that maybe these people have kids that do this and are constantly told to tell their kids to behave.

Other responses I've grown tired of here in Y!A:
*Man-up
*Grow a pair
*I dunno (hate this one with flaming heat vision)

Well, when the problem is only a problem because the person is acting immaturely, I can understand such a response. It generally means a more mature outlook or perspective on the situation is needed.

And you do not punch someone's face in with a bat.

This is right up there with "Get a life". Duh-I do have a life and I dont have to prove it to anyone. Same with grow up. I'm 70 years old and I still get told to grow up. Geez-if I grow up any more,I'll be dead. Shine it on and try not to fall prey to using the phrase yourself.

Interesting observation. I guess folks who do that instead of giving serious replies, couldn't muster up an intelligent answer anyway. It's their brain's way of warning you of the ignorance to follow.
