I want to relocate to Washington state. I'm struggling with what area to move to within the state. I'm looking for a city, area, town, or suburb that is very picturesque, with lovely flowers, landscaped streets and yards, green lawns, water and watefountains (that one is a biggie for me), attractive storefronts/malls, etc. For some reason, I need to be surounded by beauty and tranquility. What is the prettiest place to live in Washington? Thanks for your comments. You will really be helping out someone who needs to relocate but can't decide where.

You would like bainbridge Island, its super expensive, but small and pretty and a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle, so commuting back and forth would be easy. Its a small island with lots of beauty!

anywhere close to Mt.Rainier... I'm from Missouri and the military brought us up here... I live on McChord AFB, WA... I wake up every morning and can see this beautiful Mountain glaring back at me... it wonderful... The landscapes all over the North western part of Washington are beautiful... most of the eastern side of the state looked like desert when I drove through it... but you may like that... You could try Puyallup,WA or anyplace within that area... * NOT Lakewood or Tacoma *unless you live in the rich part of Tacoma* Too much violence... If you have any further questions feel free to email me... I have pictures too if you wanna see the area up here...
This website will tell you and show you the beautiful area of Puyallup, WA...:::: http://www.puyallup.com/

The Eastside of the Pacific Northwest is great!!
I would suggest living in Issaquah - it sounds like Issaquah has all of what you are looking for and more!!
However, the cost of living on the eastside is skyrocketing daily. The average house cost is around $700,000 and depending on your exact location the house prices go up to
2-5million.
***Capitol Hill & Queen Ann are really nice neighborhoods in Seattle. They are so beautiful and really close to down town. However, they are really liberal cities - I am not sure how you feel politically or religiously - but they are incredibly democratic and liberal.

Leavenworth, Bellingham or Cashmere, they are all beautifulsurronded by snow covered mountains, with rivers and beautiful floral. And none of them are huge cities jammed packed with people, pollution and crime. Leavenworth is more of a tourist town, but it is breath taking.

Try up on Snoqualmie Ridge. Id say it is about 20ish miles East of Seattle. It is SO beauliful, everything you described! Just like out of a storybook. But be prepared to pay for it as well, because it is EXPENSIVE!! But worth it! They have a website if you want to google it.
