I have a space in my wall where an air conditioner was. I want to put something in the space that is easy to make, but attractive from inside and out. The space in between the outside and inside is about 6 inches. Any help?

You could a few glass blocks (available at any Lowes, Home Depot) and install them. Light can come thru but you can`t see in.. They are pretty cool. Also a stained glass window there would be awesome. Also one more thing a terrarium would be very cool...

Answer number one offers valid clues, and that may be your notion?

Without knowing the structure of the house; especially OUTSIDE; OR the height of that opening; a glass block insert might look Good OR ODD? Certainly it would allow light in. My thought is the aesthetics and disruption in the look; from the exterior.

If it was mine; I'd probably stud it; drywall it; and duplicate the siding on the exterior.

I like Steven's answer. The appearance from the outside is a strong consideration.
