Elitist both economically and intellectually. The rich [i.e. corporate America] feel that they have a right to do what they want because they can afford to buy politicians. The educated don't feel that they have to listen to anything anyone who has less than a BA/BS has to say because they're just ignorant (and probably stupid to boot) and the reason we're in this mess to begin with.
I hope people get with the program and wake up but since 27% of us didn't read a single book last year, I tend to doubt it.

Elitist because of the Special interests and the Money in Politics today only the person who can raise large amounts of money makes the politician beholding to the person with the money and not the populace.
This is also true for the Pac's like Swift boat and Move on.

Elitist. Anyone who thinks conservatives are not elitist needs to look at the people in power. Bush - born of a wealthy family, went to Yale and Harvard, effectively dodged Vietnam, was not successful in business until he got to the Texas Rangers (lost millions of dollars in various schemes). But, he is somehow the people's man? How ridiculous.

elitist... a good example is the immigration bill they tried to pass a few months ago. most americans didn't want it and it still almost went through.
