It's said that the Beatles, at the end of their career together, were more story tellers than anything else in their songs. "Elenor Rugby" and the "Yellow Submarine" are two of many songs that I can picture what's going on. And the second song, there're actually sound effects too.

And "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies. It's like a story. Great song though, you should take a listen.

I don't know what you mean by trip out.
But I think you are talking about....being transported, being deeply moved by the music...
Side 2 of the Grateful Dead album "Wake of the Flood," where all the songs lead into each other...that's good.
And an obscure album from a German band in the early 70s,called Nektar, "Remember the Future," where each song segues into the next....
That's a good one too.
Play the entire LP Of "Harvest" by Neil Young....a nice experience.
