That's like asking which is better, a Great Pyrenees or a Newfoundland.
They're both dogs.
One is white and other is black.

I own a shop, and have worked on both of these vehicles many times before. The answer would be hard to come up with since they were both good vehicles in their time. True.. the engines in both were less than race cars, but they did the job. Both are gas hogs, and didn't make much power, but personally I like the Eldorado's better. Mark III and IV were about the same, but the Caddy was a little more expensive. As far as ride, the Lincoln had the best hands down. One would just have to drive, inspect, and look over both vehicles to come up with the best deal. That's a pretty old vehicle to begin with, and many hidden things could be wrong with either one of them. I always suggest a person get under a vehicle, and run from one that has oil all over them, or suffer purchasing a vehicle with problems. Anything leaking will fall down, and the wind will blow it backwards on the underside, thus making it look as if it was leaking all over. You might want to take both to a mechanic, and have him/her give it a once over. This can be the best advice to give you since we can't see the vehicles or inspect them for rust, leaks, or worn out parts.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Whichever one YOU like the most. Keep in mind the mid 70's to mid 80's were a low point for American cars. Neither one will have much performance wise and they both probably have huge V8's that REALLY suck gas.
By the way, it's spelled Cadillac
